Leonard Rhone is regarded as the man responsible for founding the Grange Fair.
Today his house and grounds, Rhoneymeade, are a national historic landmark that is protected by Clearwater Conservancy.
Little A and I visited the Arboretum and Sculpture Garden during their first open house of 2010.
While I really enjoyed the Eastern Hemlock which the arboretum is taking steps to protect from the dreaded Wooly Adelgid, Little A seemed to take a liking to the sculpture that is aptly named “Friendly”.
